This square image is ten inches by ten inches. While I was matriculating at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, I took a corse in Design. I made abstracts designs with various mediums. Often I created collages, often using various types and shapes of paper. This is one of them. Upon a neutral background of gray, I put a variety of colors. Each was a different hue and shape. They have sharp paints and edges. Movement is suggest in this art piece by the placement and shapes of the colors.

Although born in upstate New York, I grew up mostly in Nevada and California. The fabulous panoramic views of the far west inspired me to begin painting and photographing it’s beauty. I’ve lived in various areas in the states and in Europe but always had the desire to express through painting and photography. While living in the Mediterranean, I was especially influenced by the great Renaissance art and the chiaroscuro work of Caravaggio. I began with oils, worked with a wide variety of mediums but now mostly work in acrylic, oils, and photography.
