I watched this beautiful osprey catch this fish and bring it to a nearby tree for me to watch and admire. I love watching these birds and found this particular pose interesting. I photographed this in the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. It is an area I have documented through painting and photography for about 30 years. I feel as if I have befriended some of these birds and critters in the area. I almost resent the digital camera evolution, which has brought so many people here. Of course, I am pleased to share it all but I do miss the days when I virtually had it all to myself. It is one of those fabulously beautiful places in the world with a huge variety of wildlife. It helps to remind you of all the beauty in the world. I sometimes feel sad for the prey. It is nature's way.
