Description
I don't know what kind of snake this is. I couldn't see it's face. It was in a tree overhanging a large pond. It seemed to be asleep. I believe that it might have just eaten a meal, crawled up into the tree and gone to sleep as it digested it's food. It was surrounded by a large variety of nesting waterbirds. Somehow, I suspect that it might have raided a nest. Does anyone have any idea what kind of snake this is? It is quite large.

And that's an oleander this fellow has crawled into! Really nice AnnaJo. I'm always attracted to snakes. And oleanders. :-) Sweet photo! v/f

Perhaps a Mangrove Salt Marsh Snake? This one has recently eaten, that is for sure. Good eye, AnnaJo. v/f

Hahah...It didn't move. When I have a camera or a paintbrush in hand...curiosity generally wins the day for me.
