Three toms and a little boy.
Every once in a while I have seen wild turkeys around Central Florida. I wanted to do a painting of them. My ineptitude kept me from successfully photographing wild turkeys each time that I actually saw them in the wild. Once I forget to turn on the camera before they flew away. Another time, I took too long to put on the proper lens before they walked away. Early this year before the quarantine, I spent a week at Disney World in Orlando with friends. While having breakfast one overcast morning, we saw several wild turkeys walk by. I hurried out and captured several views of them with my I-phone. Not the best photos, but good enough for me to compose this painting. I finally photographed my wild turkeys even if It was in an unusual setting!
The little boy was watching me and was delighted to see what I was seeing. We shared a moment. We were enjoying the unusual sight.

Although born in upstate New York, I grew up mostly in Nevada and California. The fabulous panoramic views of the far west inspired me to begin painting and photographing it’s beauty. I’ve lived in various areas in the states and in Europe but always had the desire to express through painting and photography. While living in the Mediterranean, I was especially influenced by the great Renaissance art and the chiaroscuro work of Caravaggio. I began with oils, worked with a wide variety of mediums but now mostly work in acrylic, oils, and photography.
