Description
They seem to be having an involved conversation. The expressions in their faces and postures intrigued me. They are the male half of three couples. We had just been to the movies together. Now we were having dinner and drinks. We are all so different and yet, we are friends, who enjoy getting together.
I used acrylic paints on a 24” by 36” gesso board. I liked that it was a combination of portraits and still life. It is Christmas time. The table is decorated with a little fake Christmas tree. The placemats and napkins are in seasonal colors.
I liked that their hats and clothes help to identify who they are. One has a glass of water, one has a plastic bottle of water, and the third one has an empty cold glass of beer, which is still frosty. I altered a lot of the background and the foreground to make a more pleasing composition.
