Description
I love red roses. My husband got these for me last week for Valentine's Day. Of course, I did a painting of them. I experimented with trying to keep the image a bit abstract. The vase was quite intricate with a Chinese motif. I got a bit tired of trying to paint all the details. Therefore, I loosely indicated the designs on the top part of the vase. I really didn't want to make the subject of the vase as much as I wanted to show the flowers and play with colors and designs.
