Description
A man is seen riding a mule carrying a large basket of greenery, moving through a lush field where sheep graze peacefully. In the background, a serene landscape unfolds with rolling hills and a distant mountain under a soft, blue sky.
Looking out the back door of my villa was this magnificent view of Mt. Etna. I always looked every morning to see what the mountain was doing for the day. It was a live volcano and never ceased spewing some ash and sometimes more than that. This time it is relatively quiet and just gently spraying some of it's contents into the sky.
A farmer is riding by on his mule. He has a basket of greens for some animals at his home. Many of the farmers rode mules to work in the fields for the day. This man rode by every day. There were sheep out in the pasture.
The little town of Motta can be seen towards the right in the middle distance. It was an old village on a cliff. I lived there for a while. Actually, I lived in three different homes over the years on Mt. Etna.
