Painting - Acrylic On Hardboard
Description
Taking a break from a more complicated painting, I played with some red acrylic paint. I just let it flow. I experimented with some mediums and gels. One of the gels had glass beads. It looks like I sprinkled sugar on top!
At first, this reminded me of sperm trying to find a home. I continued to deepen the colors. The reds just took over. Then, it seemed to have a candy cane feeling. This is the Christmas season, so....that seems appropriate.
However, as I continue to study it in a different light, I sorta think that it looks like my original idea. Curious to learn what others see it this.
This expressionistic acrylic painting is on a 16” by 20” Hardboard.

I see an abstracted clown face, AnnaJo!…slightly left center to the right…he is smiling with the classic loping exaggeration and his nose is larger as befits a clown and his left eye (right upper corner painting) is bright and sparkly…the candy-apple reds and whites make it believable …in Laurelland…lol! I know…you are saying now: “Why did I Ask?”…hahahaha…L
