Description
I painted this in 1992. I thought that it was a church but I never saw anyone around it. It was located on River road in Cocoa. It is across the road from the Indian River Lagoon. I walked around it and looked into the dirty old windows. I saw several counter tops and shelves covered with jars. They looked like they were samples of something.
I went back a few more times but could never find out anything about this building. After a while, it seemed to be abandoned. The sign over the stairway disappeared.
It has a lovely view of the river. I still think that it must have been a church as some point.

What a mystery story. It's so pretty with all the green tones, what a great idea! I love the shadows too AnnaJo! l/f

Interesting that it is a mystery how this was used. It could have been a school house or a church meeting place where they held classes or town meetings. Makes you wonder why it was abandoned. Beautiful painting!

Thank you, Denise. I never thought of it being a school house but that is a good idea. Perhaps?
