Description
Today is Thanksgiving and I just signed this new paintig this morning. We are headed out to dinner in just a little while.
A while back, we were headed north from Florida. We hoped to see some fall leaves as we drove the back roads through West Virginia. Somehow, we got decidedly lost. The road petered out. This was the end of the road! Before, we turned around, I got out to stretch my legs and take a few photographs. The metadata from my phone said that we were near a small town called, Meadowview. We were in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
It was a gray fall day. The leaves were just beginning to turn colors. This particular scene wasn't quite the same as I painted it. I increased the colors. I totally changed and moved the fence. The rest of the scene is more or less similar to what we saw.
This impressionistic acrylic painting is on a 16” by 20” Gessobord.

It sounds like you were supposed to paint this lovely scene, AnnaJo. I love how getting lost in your travels led you to it. Perfection!
